ABOUT ME

Currently a Games Development Teaching Assistant and Technician at University of East London, working on anything programming related mostly with Unity in C# and some Unreal in C++. Graduated in 2017 in Games Development (BSc) after deciding to follow my vocation whilst studying Nanotechnology Engineering at Milan Polytechnic for a few years.

TEACHING ASSISTANT -
UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON -

September 2018 - Current

In charge of helping students debug and fix any issue with their games, specializing mostly in scripting but also with any other game design related challenges, including technical documentation, academia and structuring of their professional profiles. Producing technical demonstrations of more advanced scripting or game engine functions e.g. AI, Shader coding etc. Supporting lecturers over eight modules, and contributing to the making of workshops, specially in 3rd year's Dynamic Gameplay Programming.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT -

August 2017 - September 2018

Responsible for the upkeep of the games development studios, both software and hardware wise. Researching and testing equipment needed for development or research purposes, e.g. Tobii Eye-Tracker, EEG monitors, etc. Aid students with academic, software or hardware issues encountered over the year. Working with lecturers over six modules helping with the production of workshops.

March 2019 - May 2019

Worked in collaboration with another developer to produce an interactive experience app for UBS through Interact.Io. Created an AR video player and a data visualiser feature, to allow UBS employees see their trading number in an interactive manner. Set up most of the hardware at the pre-launch event in Zurich, including Magic Leap sets and installing all the built software on all iPads and tablets.

August 2018 & August 2019

Helped deliver a week long basic game design course in Unity, aimed at less advantaged teenagers of east London. Guided groups of students throughout the ideation, design and development process of a small game, covering theme, desired mechanics and feel, and helped build a playable prototype that they play tested, modified and showed to our Sports Interactive guests.

DEPUTY STAND MANAGER -

VOLUNTEER

October & May 2015 to 2018

Helped design and build the stand depending on available size and placement in the venue. Organized set-up with my line manager, directed other volunteers ensuring enough presence on the stand as part of UEL's student recruitment events. Talked with anyone interested in any course and ultimately got people to play games and enjoy the space created in the booth.
